About
What this is
Copper & Conduit is an electrical reference for the trade: electricians, maintenance techs, facility staff and anyone capable who needs the spec before the purchase order. One lane: which device, rating or cord the job calls for.
It is a counter reference, not a how-to. No wiring walkthroughs. No symptom diagnosis.
Who publishes it
Copper & Conduit is published by the team behind FourHome, a brand of replacement plumbing parts sold on Amazon. Same team, different trade.
Copper & Conduit is also the name we plan to sell electrical products under. That store is not open. Until it is, no chart row carries a product. When it opens, our products will sit on the rows they match, marked as ours.
How a chart is made
Every rating, gauge and configuration is taken from a published source that was opened for that page: standards bodies’ public documents, OSHA regulation text, CPSC, NIST, and manufacturers’ charts, catalogs and instruction sheets. The sources are listed at the foot of each page.
Where two publishers disagree, both values are printed and named. Where a number could not be sourced, it is left out.
We use software, including AI tools, to gather sources and draft pages. A figure goes on a page only with the source that states it, and every chart is checked against its sources a second time before it is published.
What it is not
It is not a code book and not an engineering stamp. The electrical code your jurisdiction has adopted, the listing of the device in your hand and the authority having jurisdiction govern. Code sections are cited by edition because editions differ.
We do not claim a licensed reviewer. If that changes, the name and license go on the page.
Corrections
If a number here is wrong, send the page and the source through the contact page. A sourced correction gets the page rechecked and the change dated.
